Our Programs

Cheley/Children’s Hospital Burn Camps
The Cheley/Children's Hospital Burn Camp was the first of its kind in the nation. The Burn Foundation provides full scholarships for children to attend these camps as well as supporting fire fighters who volunteer their time as counselors and staff. The camp is designed to continue the long-term healing process once patients have left the hospital. Summer and winter camps offer all the activities and adventures of traditional camps and allow the children to meet others who have gone through similar experiences.

Scholarships
Anyone who has received treatment at The Children's Hospital Burn Center or who has attended any of The Children's Hospital Burn Camps is eligible to apply for the educational scholarship program. The foundation distributes up to $15,000 annually in education scholarships for formal and non-traditional education programs.

Fire Victims Benefits
A fire is a devastating experience. Citizens who are burned out of their homes are in shock when they realize the place they call home is uninhabitable and they have literally lost everything except the clothes on their backs. The Burn Foundation assists victims with immediate monetary support.

Juvenile Fire Setters
The Juvenile Fire Setters program educates children, parents and health-care providers about the most common ways children get burned, and ways to prevent such injuries. This program evaluates and treats children that have risk factors for continued fire setting, and provides group counseling to the child and parents.

Children’s Hospital Burn Center
The Foundation proudly and generously supports the largest and only pediatric burn center of the Rocky Mountain region, Children’s Hospital Burn Center. For more than 30 years this fully integrated program has taken a team approach to treating all aspects of a burn injury, from prevention to long-term healing.

Charity Golf Tournament
Our largest annual event is the Denver Fire Fighters Burn Foundation Charity Golf Tournament. This event is held early spring at a Denver area golf course and is our largest fund-raising event of the year. We are always seeking out corporate sponsorships, unique silent auction items and energetic players to improve on the fantastic fundraising results we have achieved in the past.
